This three-hour workshop at our Summit Dallas location will begin with a short exploration of this particular yoga method including proper breathing techniques, gaze, locks or bandha, vinyasa, and the logic behind the sequencing or different series. We move into a strong and steady practice of a mix of the different series of Ashtanga Vinyasa, building up a purifying heat and sweat for around 90 minutes. By the end of the 90 minutes, your entire being will be vibrating with prana (energy), and we will practice a the entire pranayama (expansion of the prana) sequence that is rarely taught these days. Most people only teach about 10-15% of it in a class setting. It was handed down directly from Pattabhi Jois to David Williams to Ricky Tran. This powerful sequence will leave you in a blissful, reduced-thought state of being called YOGA. Will end with some questions and answers. For best results, arrive on an empty stomach, bladder and colon. Maybe group dinner afterward! Fit beginners are welcome, but some vinyasa experience is required.
